On September 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the inauguration of the 110/35/10 kV “Istisu” substation, operated by “Azerishig” OJSC, in the Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar district, Report informs via AZERTAC.
Vugar Ahmadov, Chairman of “Azerishig” OJSC, briefed the President on the completed work.
Vugar Ahmadov reported that two 40 MVA “Istisu” substations with a 110/35 kV capacity were built to provide electricity for the “Istisu” sanatorium and the “Istisu” mineral water plant. The substation receives power through a 110 kV double-circuit overhead line from the 110/35/10 kV “Kalbajar” substation. Integration with the 110/35/10 kV “Gorchu” and “Lachin” substations will enable a 110 kV circular electricity supply scheme.
The facility includes two 40 MVA transformers at 110 kV and modern switchgear bays at 110 and 35 kV. It is connected to an automated SCADA system with remote control capabilities, modern electronic relay protection, and automation.
President Aliyev officially commissioned the substation.
