"The rise in bread prices was inevitable. Prices for grain and wheat in the world have sharply risen. Our main supplier is Russia," Report informs citing President Ilham Aliyev’s January 12 interview with local TV channels.
“We are buying the cheapest wheat from Russia. There, both prices and export duties have gone up and continue to do so. Of course, we could not artificially keep the prices for bread at the same level,” the president said.
