President: After Fuzuli came under our control, more opportunities opened up to move in Shusha direction

The significance of the liberation of Fuzuli city is closely related to its strategic location. After establishing control over Fuzuli, wide opportunities opened up for offensive on Shusha, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting with representatives of the public in Fuzuli district, Report informs.

“For thirty years, the enemy has been creating fortifications here. Breaking them through has once again demonstrated the heroism and dedication of our people. Seeing this, the enemy got scared. They got convinced that our soldiers and officers were ready to sacrifice their lives for the liberation of native lands. Azerbaijani soldiers and officers, who broke through these fortifications at the cost of their lives, once again showed the enemy the greatness of our people,” the head of state added.
