Minsk hosts public discussion on return to Western Azerbaijan

A roundtable discussion entitled “Return, migration, stability: Experience of Azerbaijan” was held in Minsk, Belarus, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Agency for State Support to NGOs.

Representatives of the Belarusian public participated in the event.

The event, which began with a national dance based on the Azerbaijani folk dance Uzundara, continued with speeches and reports on Western Azerbaijan.

The speeches brought to attention the horrors experienced by Azerbaijanis deported from Western Azerbaijan, the deportation incidents people faced in different years, violations of international law, and the document “Return to Western Azerbaijan Concept”.

The chairman of a public union, Ilgar Huseynli, made a comprehensive presentation on migration issues and cooperation relations between the republics of Azerbaijan and Belarus.

At the end, discussions were held on the presentations and questions were answered.

The donor of the project is the Agency for State Support to NGOs.
