Gazanfar Ahmadov: Contamination of liberated territories with mines are serious obstacle to excavation in burial sites

The contamination of liberated territories with mines currently creates a serious obstacle to conducting excavation and exhumation work in burial sites, Gazanfar Ahmadov, the secretary of Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, told a session themed "Protecting families' right to know the truth and meeting their needs" held at an international conference dedicated to missing persons, Report informs.
According to Ahmadov, biological samples have been taken from the families of missing persons:
"There are numerous burial sites in the liberated territories. The working group continues to collect information about burial sites."
