Expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijani and EU prosecutors discussed in Baku

Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev met with Deputy Prosecutor General of the European Public Prosecutor's Office Peter Clement, who is on a visit to Baku.

According to Report, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the 6th session of the GlobE Network plenary meeting.

Kamran Aliyev noted the importance of strengthening cooperation mechanisms between the prosecutor's office of Azerbaijan and the EU structures, as well as the role of mutual efforts in ensuring the rule of law and justice.

Peter Clement hailed the legal reforms in Azerbaijan and expressed support from the European Public Prosecutor's Office. Anti-corruption cooperation and exchange of experience between law enforcement agencies were also discussed.

The parties confirmed their interest in further developing legal cooperation.
