On April 9, a documentary film titled Buy Now! The Consumer Trap was screened at the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku, initiated by Leila Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union.
According to Report, the event gathered around 400 young attendees who received in-depth information on responsible consumption, the long-term environmental impact of modern consumer culture, and the vital role young people play in promoting sustainability through their daily choices.
Speakers emphasized that environmental awareness and even small changes in individual consumer behavior can significantly contribute to sustainable development. It was noted that youth should lead this change. The ongoing activities and projects of IDEA were highlighted as key tools in shaping environmental thinking, educating the younger generation, and promoting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
Following the opening remarks, the documentary film was screened.
