Community head: 'Our struggle will continue unless we return to Western Azerbaijan'

"Our struggle will continue until we return to the lands of Western Azerbaijan, which today are considered the territory of Armenia," Aziz Alakbarli, chairman of the Western Azerbaijan community, said.

According to Report, he spoke during a public hearing on the topic "Western Azerbaijan: our historical and cultural heritage subjected to genocide. Revival of the historical and cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijan", organized by the Parliamentary Committee on Culture.

According to the head of the community, historical monuments, underground crypts, temples, churches and mosques in these lands are clear evidence of who owns these territories.

Alakbarli recalled that the meeting of President Ilham Aliyev with the community of Western Azerbaijan on December 24 last year marked the beginning of a new era in history: "Thus, with the creation of the concept of return to Western Azerbaijan, we have begun a new struggle."
