The incident that occurred in Yekaterinburg shows that Russia is a terrorist state, one of the co-chairs of the World Congress of Azerbaijanis (WCA), Firudin Parviznia, told Report.
"We condemn this vandalism related to the killing of Azerbaijanis in Russia. The cruelty committed against Azerbaijanis in Russia is not the first case," he emphasized.
He noted that the particularly brutal invasion of people's homes at night by a state agency and the murder of two family members in front of their relatives is an unprecedented case: "This shows that Russia is a terrorist state. This is unacceptable under any circumstances. Under no circumstances can a state treat citizens this way. Such terror against Azerbaijanis is unacceptable. This case has shown Russia's insidious policy, its attitude toward people, toward the civilized world. Through its actions, the Russian Federation has shown that it does not recognize human rights and freedoms. In any case, those who committed this terrorist act, and those who ordered it, should not go unpunished."
The WCA co-chair noted that the Russian government should officially apologize to the Azerbaijani state and people: "The detention and torture of relatives of those killed during the incident, the elderly, children, are a continuation of vile actions. It is impossible to give this a name. We are outraged by these actions. No one dares to treat Azerbaijanis this way. The Russian side should officially apologize and pay compensation to all members of this family."
