Chair of 36th Khatai-Surakhani Electoral District: Voter turnout is at high level

The elections are being conducted with full transparency, and voter turnout is at a high level, Garat Garatov, chairman of the 36th Khatai-Surakhani Electoral District, said in his statement to Report.

The chairman noted that all conditions have been created for eligible citizens to cast their votes:

"As of 12:00 pm, 5,913 voters in the district have already exercised their right to vote. We have 764 voters over the age of 80 in the district. There are 402 first-time voters."

The elections are being held in 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts across the country. As many as 16,092 candidates are competing for 8,071 seats in 685 municipalities.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), there are 5,961,987 eligible voters in the municipal elections.
