Azerbaijan simplifies visa procedures for foreigners over World Cup 

President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on simplifying visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons who want to come to the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of their visit to the State of Qatar during the World Football Championship, Report informs.

Upon the Decree, those who want to come to the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of their visit to the State of Qatar during the FIFA World Cup and submit any of the documents specified in the 2nd part of this Decree, can get a visa at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from November 20 to December 20, 2022.

One of the following documents will be considered as the basis for issuing a visa:

• The accreditation card or other document confirming accreditation in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Q22 and FIFA, the international organizers of the 2022 FIFA World Cup;
• A match ticket or a document confirming the purchase of a ticket for citizens of and stateless persons permanently residing in countries participating in the FIFA World Cup.
