Azerbaijan registers 481 candidates for snap parliamentary elections

The candidacy of 481 people for the snap parliamentary elections has been registered in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov told a meeting held at CEC Thursday, Report informs.
Panahov noted that a total of 1,489 people had applied for candidacy.
"Some 459 people were nominated from 25 political parties. As many as 1,029 people applied individually. There are 958 independent candidates, while 531 have party affiliation. Some 802 people handed over their signature sheets," he said.
