In recent days, Armenian media have been disseminating information that Russian citizen Zahiraddin Ibrahimov was detained after investigative measures by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan and taken to Baku, Report informs.
Zahiraddin Ibrahimov, who introduces himself as the chairman of the committee for the protection of the rights of ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan, lived in Yekaterinburg and for many years participated in propaganda events organized in the capital of Armenia, making anti-Azerbaijani statements.
Between 2005 and 2020, he regularly participated in "conferences" in Armenia, where he voiced false accusations against Azerbaijan and made biased statements. Ibrahimov also carried out instructions from Armenian structures aimed at inciting separatism in Azerbaijan.
Earlier, lawyer Sayyara Aliyeva confirmed that her client was indeed placed in the SSS pretrial detention center. According to her, during interrogation, Ibrahimov admitted having ties to Armenia and testified on a number of other issues.
The details of the special operational measures that led to the capture and deportation of Russian citizen Zahiraddin Ibrahimov to Azerbaijan have not yet been made public.
However, it is already known that he, along with Ruben Vardanyan and Arayik Harutyunyan, is being held in the SSS pretrial detention center and will be held accountable for crimes against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, like the others.
The capture and return to the country of Zahiraddin Ibrahimov, who has long been the main tool of the enemy state's separatist propaganda in 2025, which was declared the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, is a clear message to anyone who dares to act against the constitutional structure and territorial sovereignty of our state.
Report has sent a request to the Press Service of the State Security Service regarding the issue. Any updates will be published.
