On March 31, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center will organize a conference entitled “Perpetuation of memory - a process against the denial of genocide and crimes against humanity,” Report informs.
The event combines two historical events.
March 31 is the day of remembrance of the victims of the March 1918 genocide in Azerbaijan, and in 2003 the victims of the March genocide were reburied on this day.
Discussions of the war in Ukraine will also take place during the conference.
The conference will be attended by members of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center and former leaders of a number of countries. In the hope that commemorating those who died in crimes against humanity will prevent future catastrophes, an action plan will be developed to ensure that violence is unacceptable and that victims are never forgotten.
