Azerbaijan was represented at a cultural festival held in California, the US, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan told Report.
Cultural in the Community Celebration, bringing together various cultures of the world, was held in the city of San Ramon, California.
Representatives of the Northern California Azerbaijani Cultural Society created a booth at the festival, representing the country.
The booth, which displayed Azerbaijani souvenirs and books, also offered national sweets to guests.
Society members in national dress – Nurlan Shukurlu, Konul Aliyeva, Javid Huseynli, Gunay Khalilova, and Huseyn Huseynli provided detailed information to guests about Azerbaijan’s ancient history, rich culture, cuisine, enchanting nature, and tourism potential, and answered questions.
The Azerbaijani dance ensemble, operating under the Northern California Cultural Society and led by renowned choreographer Rozi Almammadova, performed Jangi, Ag Chicheyim, and Yalli dances, which were met with applause from participants.
