Sericulture put on UNESCO's intangible heritage list at Azerbaijan's initiative

Sericulture and the traditional production of silk for weaving has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List.
Report informs citing the press service of the organization that the nomination was accepted at the 17th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.
The application was nominated by Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
