Minister: Declaring Shusha cultural capital of Turkic world - manifestation of special respect

The announcement of the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, the city of Shusha, as the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2023 is a manifestation of special respect from the Turkic world, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Karimli said at the official opening ceremony of the event "Shusha - the cultural capital of the Turkic world -2023", Report informs.

The minister noted that Shusha is of great spiritual importance for Azerbaijanis: "This city is of great importance in the fate of our people, its history, culture, and national development. The national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev paid special attention to the cultural center of our people - the city of Shusha and the preservation of our cultural heritage. Today, this policy is successfully continued by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev."

Adil Karimli stressed that today Shusha and the whole of Karabakh are experiencing a renaissance: "The historical appearance of the city of Shusha is being restored and cultural life is returning here."
