What brings the peoples of Azerbaijan and Qatar closer together is also their cultural richness, Azerbaijani Culture Minister Adil Karimli said at a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture.
Karimli noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar are developing comprehensively on the basis of friendly relations based on mutual trust between the leaders of the two countries:
"Successful cooperation has been established between our countries within the framework of both bilateral and multilateral platforms. What brings our peoples closer is also our cultural richness. The Days of Azerbaijani Culture, organized in Doha, Qatar, in February 2024, was remembered for the solemn presentation of our culture. Qatar also closely participates in various international events organized in Azerbaijan. I believe that the Days of Qatar Culture, held in Baku, will be a significant contribution to the development of cultural relations between the two countries," the minister said.
Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani thanked the Azerbaijani side for the high hospitality shown to the Qatari delegation. The Qatari minister expressed his satisfaction with the representation of his country's culture in Azerbaijan after 16 years, emphasizing that such events are necessary for cultural integration.
During the conversation, the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields of culture were discussed. At the end, commemorative photos were taken.
The Days of Qatari Culture are being held in Baku on April 10-13. On this occasion, a large delegation led by the Qatari culture minister is visiting Azerbaijan.
