WHO director-general: Opening session of COP29 proceeded very well

The opening session of COP29 in Baku went very well, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told journalists, Report informs.
Ghebreyesus noted that the conference pays more attention to healthcare because the climate crisis is also a health crisis.
The WHO chief emphasized that analyses show the occurrence of pandemics depends on people:
"If we prepare and do everything to prevent it, it won't happen. We can prevent it with what we have at our disposal."
