Turkish Constitutional Court expresses readiness to support Azerbaijan's COP29 efforts

The Constitutional Court of Türkiye has expressed its readiness to fulfill any duties related to the upcoming COP29 climate summit, set to be held in Azerbaijan, Basri Bagci, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Constitutional Court, said in his statement to journalists at the opening ceremony of the international conference "Law and Climate" held in Baku, Report informs.

Bagci emphasized his pride in being in Baku for the conference and addressing the people of Azerbaijan. "This conference is an important step within the framework of the COP29 event to be held in Baku. Azerbaijan's hosting of such an event is an indicator of the trust placed in the country," he stated.

The Turkish official also highlighted the growing concern of climate change worldwide. In recent months, the Asian Constitutional Courts Association's meeting also focused on the pressing issue of climate change, Bagci noted.
