Taleh Kazimov: Azerbaijan committed to accelerating green transition

Azerbaijan is committed to accelerating the green transition, governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, said at the event titled "Global Financial System: Expanding Finance to Combat Climate Change" within the COP29, Report informs.

"Therefore, Azerbaijan has included climate issues in its national development strategy," he added.

Furthermore, he reminded that according to the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022-2026, the share of renewable energy sources in the total energy complex should be increased to 24% by 2026.
