Secretary General: IPU seeks to expand activities in fighting climate change

The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) aims to expand its activities in combating climate change to achieve concrete results, IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong said during his speech at the COP29 parliamentary meeting in Baku, Report informs.
According to Martin Chungong, the IPU is committed to climate action and advocates for cooperation in this matter.
The secretary general emphasized that in the context of the climate crisis, it is necessary to maintain a clear political course that will protect the environment and contribute to the well-being of future generations.
