Orkhan Zeynalov: Azerbaijan to continue to support foreign investors in green energy

The Azerbaijani government intends to continue providing support to foreign investors in implementing renewable energy projects, Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov said at an event announcing the winner of the first renewable energy auction for the construction of the Gobustan solar power plant within the COP29, Report informs.

"This auction has become a significant achievement for the renewable energy sector in Azerbaijan. It reflects the growing interest and confidence of investors in green projects in our country. The fact that the auction results were announced during COP29 confirms Azerbaijan's commitment to international cooperation and sustainable development goals," Zeynalov noted.

The deputy minister emphasized that Azerbaijan will continue to provide transparent and stable conditions for attracting investments in renewable energy, supporting projects that contribute to environmentally sustainable development.
