Without agricultural production transformation, there will be no climate justice and it's impossible to achieve the 1.5-degree target, said participants of an agricultural producers' protest rally that took place in the Blue Zone of COP29 in Baku, Report informs.
The protesters spoke out against false and misguided solutions proposed by large agribusiness in food production.
"The Global North must pay for the destruction of agricultural systems in developing countries," "No GMOs, No industrial farms, No pesticides," read the placards.
They accused large corporations of destroying traditional agricultural production in pursuit of excess profits.
