Mukhtar Babayev participates in COP16 in Riyadh

The 16th session of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16) started on December 2 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Report informs.

Azerbaijan is represented at the event by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev.

“The COP29 President contributed to the Ministerial Dialogue on Drought Resilience at COP16. Building on Baku’s commitments, we’re advancing policies for proactive drought management,” reads the post of COP29 on X.

The conference will last until December 13.
