The Russian delegation will seek the adoption of balanced decisions at the COP29 event to be held in Azerbaijan in November, according to Sergey Kononuchenko, the special envoy of the Russian Foreign Ministry on climate issues.
Report quotes him as saying that western countries that are already trying to direct the climate talks in a way that is profitable for themselves and will likely try to seize the agenda of the future conference.
"Naturally, we will spare no effort, I cannot say how successful it will be, to achieve balanced decisions at this conference," he said.
