Latvian president to attend COP29 in Baku

President of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics has confirmed his participation in the COP29 conference in Baku in November, said Latvia's ambassador to Azerbaijan, Edgars Skuja, Report informs.

"The president of the Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, has confirmed his participation in COP29. He will arrive here with a delegation and will be present at the official opening and all main COP events," the ambassador noted.

He added that Latvia will be widely represented at the climate conference overall. In particular, a delegation led by the minister of agriculture is planned to participate, and the participation of other ministers and business delegations is also possible.

COP29 will be held in Baku on November 11-22.
