Georgian parliament speaker: Hosting COP29 to strengthen Azerbaijan's position in int'l arena

Holding such an international event as COP29 in Baku is an important historical event for Azerbaijan, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili told Report.

Papuashvili noted Azerbaijan's significant experience in organizing international events: "This is also perceived as evidence of Azerbaijan's high authority in the world. I wish Azerbaijan a successful hosting of COP29. During my stay in Baku, I saw how actively the preparatory work for this important event is progressing. I am confident that the conference will be held at the highest level and will go down in history."

He also expressed hope that hosting COP29 would further strengthen Azerbaijan's position in the international arena.
