In the United Kingdom, economic transformation will affect approximately 6.3 million jobs, Mary Creagh, Deputy Secretary of State at the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, said during a high-level round table discussion "Green Jobs and Skills" at COP29, Report informs.
Mary Creagh noted that green skills are an important tool supporting the transition to a green economy: "The new organization we have created in this direction will assess national and regional skill needs, and will also provide solutions that support economic growth and meet business needs. The implementation of several programs will stimulate business innovation and create employment opportunities for young people."
