COP29 President-designate meets with UK Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero

Mukhtar Babayev, COP29 President-designate, Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, met with Ed Miliband, UK Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, COP29 presidency said in a post on X.

According to Report, the parties emphasized the importance of achieving the Paris Agreement goals on decarbonization.

They also discussed strategies for accelerating the global energy transition, strengthening international cooperation, and ensuring equal access to sustainable technologies to achieve climate goals.
