COP29 Presidency meets with multilateral development banks

COP29 Presidency Team led by Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev held a coordination meeting with MDBs on the sidelines of the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings, Report informs.

"The meeting gathered all MDBs in a hybrid format, focused on the importance of close coordination to drive forward essential priorities and underlined the positive results of ongoing cooperation in the lead up to COP29 in November," according to the COP29 Azerbaijan page on X.

Earlier, COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev met with Managing Director of the IMF Kristalina Georgieva and the World Bank's Senior Managing Director for Development Policy and Partnerships Axel van Trotsenburg.
