COP29 chief negotiator attends Global Transparency Forum in Tokyo

COP29 Chief Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev has attended the Global Transparency Forum, Report informs citing COP29 post on X.

"COP29 Chief Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev led a delegation to participate in the first Global Transparency Forum in Tokyo, Japan. The delegation discussed the critical role that national climate plans and transparency reports can play in enhancing our collective ambition on climate," the post reads.

The Global Transparency Forum took place on May 20-21 at the United Nations University in Tokyo (Japan). The forum discussed the key role of information transparency in the fight against climate change, as required by the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) of the Paris Agreement.
