China's transportation authorities and Belt and Road partners are conducting negotiations to sign agreements on international automobile transportation and the construction of cross-border facilities, Qiu Xinli, a representative of the Department of Border and Ocean Affairs of China's Foreign Ministry, said at a COP29 event on sustainable connectivity and climate-resilient transport corridors, Report informs.

The diplomat noted that China has signed many border-related cooperation agreements covering border management, border crossing operations, and construction of cross-border facilities: "China's immigration authorities have established a trilateral maritime connection mechanism with immigration authorities of 11 neighboring countries, including Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and others."
