Brazil announces date of pre-COP30

The preliminary meeting of the climate conference (pre-COP) will take place on October 13-14 in Brazil, Report informs with reference to the COP30 organizing committee.
The meeting will gather ministers and key climate negotiators.
The main goal of pre-COP will be to reach preliminary agreements on the most important topics of the upcoming climate conference, which will be held in Belem from November 10 to 21.
Participation of up to 50 international delegations is expected. The meeting, traditionally organized by the host country approximately one month before the start of COP, will also be open to observers from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
