Azerbaijan starts pilot projects for creating green energy zones

Azerbaijan has identified Green Energy Zones as a key pilot project for national development, Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov said at the COP29 ministerial meeting on energy initiatives, Report informs.
"We have launched pilot projects to create Green Energy Zones in Karabakh, East Zangazur, and Nakhchivan, which will become the foundation for a nationwide energy transition to net zero," Zeynalov said.
He also pointed out the importance of support for these initiatives from investors and international financial organizations.
