Azerbaijani, Qatari customs authorities to explore best practices

The customs authorities of Azerbaijan and Qatar engaged in discussions aimed at expanding cooperation, studying, and sharing best practices, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
The discussions took place during a meeting between SCC Chairman Shahin Baghirov and Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, Chairman of the General Authority of Customs in Qatar, who is visiting Azerbaijan as part of COP29.
The meeting included talks on the application of artificial intelligence in various areas of the customs system, as well as the establishment of beneficial relations to enhance mutual trade turnover between the two countries.
Additionally, a presentation was showcased on Azerbaijan customs' experience in risk management.
