Azerbaijan joins Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism

Azerbaijan joined the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism during the Tourism Day at COP29.
According to Report, Azerbaijan's joining the declaration contributes to the development of sustainable tourism, capacity building, rational use of resources, and implementation of measures to reduce climate risks following national and global climate goals.
As part of its commitments under the declaration, Azerbaijan will develop climate action plans within a year and begin their implementation. Special attention will be paid to measuring emissions in the tourism sector, decarbonization, ecosystem regeneration, cooperation, and financing.
