Azerbaijan commited to make COP29 exemplary conference

Azerbaijan has made a bold commitment to ensure that COP29, which it will chair, becomes an example for future climate conferences, Mukhtar Babayev, the COP29 President-Designate, Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources said, Report informs.

Speaking at a press conference of the COP29 Azerbaijan Presidency, Minister Babayev outlined a comprehensive agenda for the upcoming climate summit.
He emphasized that COP29 will cover a wide range of sectors, including, trade, energy, digitalization, education, health, tourism, transportation, and gender equality.

“We are striving to bring all parties together," Babayev stated, underscoring the inclusive approach of the Azerbaijani presidency. “Leave no one behind' is our core principle. At COP29, we will keep all communities affected by climate change in focus. We will spare no effort to achieve sustainable development and inclusive results."

Babayev also revealed that the COP29 presidency has already sent its first letter to partners.
