Azerbaijan and UNFCCC sign Host Country Agreement

COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev and Simon Stiell, the executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), signed the Host Country Agreement between Azerbaijan and the UNFCCC, marking the latest milestone in preparations for the successful delivery of COP29 in Azerbaijan in November, according to the COP29 official X account, Report informs.
The agreement highlights Azerbaijan’s commitment to delivering an accessible, inclusive and transparent conference that reflects the needs and priorities of all parties and during which all voices will be heard.
