Azerbaijan's overall cotton exports declined due to lower demand for cotton yarn in certain export markets and a preference for seeded cotton imports, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).
It was also noted at a meeting with cotton exporters that another reason for the decline in exports was the suspension of enterprises as a result of a strong earthquake in Turkey. In addition, the supply process is disrupted due to problems with logistics.
AZPROMO listened to the demands and proposals on these issues and noted that the relevant authorities would work to resolve the problems voiced by the exporters.
