US business circles show interest in participating in Karabakh’s restoration

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has met with a delegation led by Executive Director of the Caspian Policy Center Efgan Nifti, Report informs citing the Ministry of Economy.

At the meeting, the minister noted the development of economic partnership with the US. Stressing that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Jabbarov expressed Azerbaijan’s interest in the development of bilateral relations, the possibility of cooperation in the field of regional security and cooperation, climate change, energy, water and food security and other areas. He noted that the elimination of the consequences of the pandemic, the restoration of economic activity, the return of business to vigorous activity are the main tasks.

Nifti brought to the attention that US business circles are interested in participating in the restoration of the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation.

Issues of expanding trade and economic ties were discussed at the meeting. A delegation of the Caspian Policy Center is planning to visit the territories liberated from occupation.
