During the meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Economy Minister Samad Bashirli, the Turkish delegation received detailed information about the work carried out in Azerbaijan’s liberated areas, including the Aghdam Industrial Park. Key topics included attractive opportunities for investors, infrastructure supporting entrepreneurship, and various tax, customs, and other benefits available to businesses.
The Aghdam Industrial Park, established by a presidential decree on May 28, 2021, plays a pivotal role in harnessing the economic potential of the liberated territories. It contributes to the development of the non-oil sector, boosts employment, and fosters the production of competitive goods. Located strategically at the intersection of Karabakh and surrounding regions, it is the second-largest industrial park in the country by the number of residents. Currently, nine enterprises operate within the park, producing goods for both domestic sale and export.
The delegation also toured production facilities within the park, gaining firsthand insight into their operations. Additionally, they visited the cities of Khankandi and Shusha, exploring historical landmarks and observing restoration and reconstruction activities.
