Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced that it will provide compensation to passengers who were injured during a severe turbulence incident on a flight from London to Singapore. The airline made the announcement on its Facebook page, confirming that offers were sent to affected passengers on June 10.
Passengers who sustained minor injuries during the incident will receive $10,000 in compensation. For those with more severe injuries and requiring financial assistance for medical treatment, SIA will provide an initial payment of $25,000, which will be part of a larger compensation package to be discussed later when the passengers' health allows.
The airline also stated that it will fully refund the ticket costs for all passengers on the affected flight.
