Trade with Azerbaijan should be brought to $15B, Turkish official says

"In January-September of this year, the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey amounted to about $3 billion. This figure does not satisfy us and should be increased," Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of Turkey Nureddin Nebati said at the 25th International Business Forum (IBF) in Baku, Report informs.

"Turkey is the second country after Italy exporting products to Azerbaijan and the first in the list of countries in terms of investment from Azerbaijan. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plays a leading role in this. The trade turnover between the two countries should be brought to $15 billion. All problems need to be addressed to this end. The exemption from customs duties on about 15 types of products will have a positive effect on increasing mutual trade," the Turkish official said.
