Trade turnover in Baku up by nearly 5%

In January-March 2025, the volume of trade turnover in Baku amounted to 8.48 billion manats ($4.99 billion), 4.6% more than in the first quarter of 2024, Report informs, citing the Baku City Statistical Department.
The value of food products, beverages and tobacco products sold in the trade network increased by 0.2% compared to January-March of the previous year to 4.78 billion manats ($2.81 billion), and the volume of non-food products increased by 10.6% to 3.7 billion manats ($2.18 billion).
Some 37.4% of consumer products were sold in enterprises with the status of legal entities, 52.2% in commercial facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 10.4% in Baku's product markets.
