Tashkent hosts Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum

An Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum has been held in Tashkent with the support of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry.

The event was attended by officials of both countries, as well as entrepreneurs involved in construction, industry, agriculture and other areas.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the business forum, deputy prime minister, Uzbek Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov noted that there is great potential for expanding economic and trade relations between the two countries. Sardor Umurzakov noted that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan can create joint processing enterprises and supply their products to third countries.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov noted the opportunities for strengthening partnership in industry, agriculture, trade, investment and other areas and invited Uzbek businessmen to take advantage of the favorable business environment created in Azerbaijan and implement joint projects.

As part of the business forum, documents were signed between the relevant ministries of the two countries.
