South Korean companies might invest in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Center for Economic Reform Analysis and Communication (CERAC).
The issue was discussed at a meeting between CERAC Executive Director Vusal Gasimli and South Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Eun Yong.
Vusal Gasimli briefed the ambassador on economic reforms in Azerbaijan, applications of strategic management in Azerbaijan, development strategies being implemented, as well as monitoring and evaluation, research and innovative projects conducted by CERAC in the field of economic reforms, such as azexport.az/, dth.az/ and enterpriseazerbaijan.gov.az/ portals and “One Window” Export Support Center.
Vusal Gasimli stressed that the opening of the Zangazur corridor after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories would increase the potential of the South Caucasus region in terms of international trade and transportation, and joint research with Korean think tanks would serve the interests of both countries. He noted that the expansion of cooperation in trade and investment will make a positive contribution to the economic development of the two countries. It was agreed to establish contacts between CERAC and the relevant think tanks of Korea to conduct joint research in these areas.
The ambassador expressed satisfaction with the level of relations between the two countries. He also expressed confidence in the success of the joint projects implemented between CERAC and the Embassy and the continuation of cooperation in this direction.
