SMBDA official: Azerbaijan- UAE relations are developing rapidly

The relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are developing rapidly, and there is an enormous business cooperation potential between them, Rufat Atakishiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy, said at the event themed "Real estate development model in Dubai" held in Baku, Report informs.

"In the last 2-3 years, there have been mutual visits between the two countries. We met with various government representatives of the UAE, and commission meetings were held in Dubai. In addition, we have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chamber of Commerce in Dubai. An investment meeting is held every year. There was an Azerbaijan Pavilion at the Expo in Dubai. This is also a kind of business forum. Entrepreneurs from both countries took part there. We hope this will not be the last event. Keep in mind that the geographical distance between the two countries is not long, and there are also direct flights. These issues have led to an increase in the number of visits by tourists from Azerbaijan to the UAE and vice versa," he noted.
