Saudi investors interested in Azerbaijan's energy, tourism and agriculture

Saudi Arabian investors are showing interest in three main areas in Azerbaijan - energy, agriculture and tourism, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan said in response to a request from Report.

"Projects implemented in the field of renewable energy, as well as agriculture and tourism, are considered attractive to investors from Saudi Arabia," the agency noted.

KOBİA emphasized that at the second meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council in May 2023 in Shusha, the Saudi Arabian delegation was presented with investment opportunities in the liberated Azerbaijani territories. "This presentation played a significant role in shaping the interest of Saudi investors in projects that can be implemented in these territories. The fifth meeting of the Council with the participation of 70 entrepreneurs in one of the tourist sites created an opportunity to present the tourism potential of Azerbaijan to a wider audience," the agency added.

Saudi Arabian companies are also interested in initiatives such as green energy and smart villages.
