Russia eyes opening Ulyanovsk Trade House in Azerbaijan

The Governor of Russia’s Ulyanovsk Oblast, Aleksey Russkikh, has announced plans to open a Ulyanovsk Trade House in Azerbaijan, Report informs via Russian media.
Russkikh highlighted the initiative following his recent visit to Baku.
Governor Russkikh emphasized the strategic importance of enhancing export activities of Ulyanovsk-based enterprises, which is expected to bolster foreign trade with Azerbaijan, a key regional ally. The proposed Ulyanovsk Trade House aims to facilitate a 20-30% increase in trade turnover, reflecting the aspirations of Russian producers and their desire to penetrate the Azerbaijani market more effectively.
In addition to economic ties, Governor Russkikh underscored the significance of broadening humanitarian relations between Ulyanovsk Oblast and Azerbaijan.
Governor Russkikh met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, on May 30. During the meeting, they discussed various cooperative ventures, with the Prime Minister expressing support for initiatives from Ulyanovsk Oblast.
